DVB-H has a number of features designed to take account of the limited battery life of handheld devices, and the particular environments where such receivers must operate. In addition, the DVB-IPDC specifications for IP datacast are essential to the convergence of broadcast networks and mobile telecommunications networks. With IPDC, digital content can be delivered cost effectively over DVB-H networks to large audiences at the same time.
