The WSN is developed based on the IEEE 802.15.4 specifications and our ZigBee stack.
-
Provides a site survey tool which facilitates the plan of deploying the wireless sensor network. The site survey tool can simulate the RF signal strength distribution according to the input layout information and then estimate the appropriate number of the WSN beacon router and their appropriate positions according to the simulated RF signal strength distribution.
-
Provide a handheld device for detecting the WSN signal strength distribution of the WSN beacon routers in the sensing area whenever the WSN beacon routers have been deployed. The WSN signal strength distribution of the WSN beacon routers is used as a reference for adjusting the network layout.
-
User Badge:Users or valuable goods equip with the badge for identification and positioning.
-
WSN Beacon Router:Broadcasts the positioning signals and forwards the user badge information.
-
WSN Gateway:The interface between WSN PAN and IP Network.
-
WSN Bridge:Connects two WSN PANs. This feature enlarges the sensing area of the WSN to different floors or different building. The enlarged WSN can contains more than 4000 nodes. In the WSN containing numerous PAN, the WSN Bridge provides the roaming services for the User Badge.
-
Location Server:Monitor the current positions of the user badges and maintains their experienced paths. The location information is useful for numerous context-aware applications. For example, the entrance control system can open the door automatically for the users which equip with legal user badge. New applications can easily provide location-based services by retrieving the location information from the location server.
